Herein is contained the continued adventures of the travelers from Valek, including some notes from their journals. Five set out from Valek: Spot, a former familiar cat rogue, Brondr, a dwarven fighter, D., a human barbarian. The halfling bard, Milo, was separated from the party when he was robbed by an elven woman. His brother, a monk, decided to remain in Valek after only a few adventures. The rest of the party, having successfully negotiated a peace accord between Valek and the neighboring kingdom of Sioalahn, they escorted the eldest of Valek's young daughter to the castle of the king of Siaolahn, to wed his son the younger prince. Having completed this task, they decided to find the elf woman who had robbed Milo.
-11- The party passed over the river and found the weeping willow tree. The pixie got bored with the digging and wandered away. Brondr found a great stone and used it to make a grave marker, setting it atop the many hand-sized river stones the party and the crewmembers gathered. When this was done, they returned to Happort by the rope bridge and proceeded to the Drunken Dwarf Tavern, where Brondr told as many patrons as he could that the ale here was weak, while Spot and Damen asked around about Tuni and the elf woman. Someone had seen her heading east a few weeks previous. Brondr told Tuni that the crewman Bruner was dead and where she could find his grave. Then, Brondr opened another will and found that crewman Moel wanted his daughter to be protected, so they packed up their cart and headed for Voolspont, at the northern tip of Seashire. Mary Mata was saddened to hear of her father's death, but she agreed to travel with the party for protection and adventure, since the town had not treated her well, since her father was a sailor, and the fishermen of the town didn't think much of people who left home to travel. While they waited for her to settle her affairs, they followed up on a rumor they'd heard in town about a craftsman being deeply in debt and willing to sell his soul to pay off his gambling debts. Brondr (at Spot's urging) bet the man his cat could talk, and the craftsman lost that bet. Brondr and Spot tried to tell the craftsman he had a gambling problem, but he insisted he didn't have a problem. He challenged them to a game of odd or even for a small wager. He lost the first five games, but he then won the following three and ended up with over 70 gold from the party's purses. Spot decided to make one more bet and turn it into a sure thing. When he rolled the dice, she swept her tail quickly over it, making the dice fall on the number she wanted, but as they settled, one of the dice rolled onto another number. Spot finally decided that he was cheating, and that he'd started the rumor of his gambling debts himself. She couldn't get him to confirm either supposition, so that remains a mystery. When the party returned to Mary Mata, they found that she had sold all of her wordly goods, save for a horse and saddle, a trunk of clothing, and a small bag of keepsakes, for a ring that granted her shelter at her command. Brondr marveled at the ring's cunning design, fashioned by a dwarf, according to the previous owner. The party headed south and passed through Centerville, where they heard more encounters with the elf woman, who had changed her hair again and stolen 400 gold from the mayor's son. An hour south of town, near the river, Mary called up a cabin with her ring, and the party settled in for the night.
The adventure continues...

We wake up and continue following the road southward. There seems to be a check point on the road ahead, we walk up to it and a voice yells out from above, "stat your business" Brondor tells the voice to show it's self and two gnomes fly down from the tower on bat-like wings. Brondor tells the gnomes why we were passing and they let us through. One of the gnomes spoke silven and I had a nice conversation with him in cat. I asked him how he got his wings and he said he was born with them, I said something about being part fiend and he was like no I am a dragon. Then I felt a little stupid. After a short wile we come to the next town on the road, more a small farming settlement really, and there is a ghost standing just outside of town. I decided I had enough of ghosts for a lifetime and continue walking past but my human companions decide to stop on talk to the ghost. I stop a few yards past the ghost (mostly b/c I realize I am not by my self) and turn around to watch my pet and Brondar speak with the ghost. I quickly realize he is one of the ghosts from the ship and rejoin my party. We open his will and it has a large letter in it, the will basically tells us to post this large poster sized letter in the middle of this town. The party is debating how to go about doing this when I snatch the poster away from Brondar, and tell them I will do it, I also ask for a distraction so no one will notice the cat post the notice. Perhaps I should have been more specific when I said "distraction" I thought that my pet and the fighter could Duel or something, but no. My pet grabs one of the farmhands in a near by field and shakes him vigorously the dwarf then starts yelling at my pet, like what ARE you doing? Brondor defuses the situation quickly but not before it grabs the attention of the whole town. It gave me enough time to sneak over to the bill board in the center of town and post the notice without anyone taking much notice in who had put up said poster. The mayor thanks Brondor for stopping my pet's attack and he makes it clear that My pet is no longer welcome in there town, so we quickly leave. As we head out of town we see the ghost bow to us and fade away.
We continue south on the trail of the elven woman to robbed Brondor's friend, and come to another town. shortly after entering town a delicious sent catches my nose, and it leads me to a stand selling grilled meats, I give Brondor a gold peace and tell him to buy me some. He agrees and the whole party stops for a scrumptious lunch. At the meat stand Brondor asks the vendor where a good place to gather information is. The vendor tells us to check out the local pub. So we head to the pub, where My pet is talked into buying the whole party a round of drinks, so we each order a flask of dwarven whiskey. Me and Mary don't want to drink ours and the dwarf quickly claims the flasks for him self. My pet drinks his flask of whiskey in one giant swig, and quickly passes out on the floor. I decide we should prolly not leave him there so me and the dwarf drag him out to the cart, and roll him on his side so that when he vomits it goes off the edge. Then we go back into the pub. In the pub I speak to a halfling male who saw a woman fitting my description leave town and head south about 3 hours ago. I decide that this likely is the elven woman we are looking for, so I tell him to spread the word that a theaf is about. When I find Brondor in the tavern to tell him my good news I find him harassing a male elf, and that our dwarven fighter is now quite drunk. I apologize to the elf for my friend and try to get Brondor to come with me back to the cart. The dwarf has seemed to forgotten the quest we were on, and to be distracted by other things... I am slightly irritated by this, but I decide that I can be proactive and have fun with my drunken friend at the same time. I bet Brondor that in his drunken stuper he can not ride our Mule (and stay on) for a 1/2 hour. He quickly accepts my bet and we head to the cart, as he mounts our pack animal I tell marry about our little bet and she agrees to help me by driving the cart. we Trot through town at a speed much faster then we would normal move, and take a few tight turns trying to knock our dwarven friend off his mule. To my amazement he stayed on the mule but just outside town he swung his back around almost 180 degrees and then hopped rather gracefully off the mule. As the cart passed Brondar My pet vomited all over the dwarfs shoes. The dwarf barely noticed the vomit and walked back towards town a bit. There was another ghost! I followed The drunken dwarf as he started to speak to the ghost. I caught up to Brondor just as he found the correct will. Brondor struggled to open the will I thought it would be funny to snatch it away from him, so I used my rogue awesomeness to snatch away the contents of the envelope with out the drunken dwarf noticing. I quickly read the request as the dwarf wonders what he needed to do with a empty envelope. The will said to deliver a letter to a "Kitty" fang or some thing. I ask the ghost where she lived and he gave me good directions to the house of the young girl. I prance over to her home knock on the door and give the girl the letter. She thanks me over and over as I dart back to the cart. We get back on the cart after trying to convince my Drunken friend that since the envelope was empty we didn't need to do anything. I decided I didn't like Brondor being drunk so I snatch the dwarven whiskey away from him and give it to Mairy for safe keeping. After a few hours of travel we arrive to the town of Elbow. Me and the dwarf agree to split up to look for the elven woman. That we can cover more ground that way. I will search the pub near the entrance of town, Brondor will question the innkeeper and we will meet at the second (and larger) Tavern to scout it out together. In the first Pub I find a nice elven woman who speaks silven she didn't seem to fit the profile of the woman we were looking for so I warned her about the thief and told her to keep her eyes open. She thanks me for the warning and I go to the next pub. Brondor Beet me to the Tavern when I spotted him I seen him approaching a group of elven females, I also seen an elven man watching my dwarven companion very closely. I find a spot where I can perch to watch the events unfold. I see the dwarf walk up to the table with 3 elven ladies sitting in it talking to each other. Then I see the Dwarf put his hands on the table and lean in twards then, Next on of the women slaps my friend across the face. Then the elf man who was also watching stands up... This is where I intervene and jump into the booth next to him. I try speaking silven to him and he just pats my head and looks at me blankly. So I talk to him in common and tell him about the woman we were looking for. He asks me what she looked like, and I admit to him that I was not sure, so I bring him over to Brondor to help with the description. The male elf said he saw a woman pass him on the road about an hour ago, and we decided to head out after her. We follow the road till we come to a fork, and at this fork there is a ghost pointing down one of the paths. As my party talks with the ghost I am sniffing about on the ground. I smell 2 pares of tracks one seemed to be fairly fresh and heading down the main road, the other was a little ripe and heading towards the town we just came out of. The ghost pointed in yet a third direction. Brondor and Mairy were debating which way to take when I told them I thought that the woman we were tracking went east. so that is where we headed, untill about 2 in the morning when the party was exhausted and we decided to turn in for the night. Where we made camp there was a T in the road, and a fence with some people sleeping on the ground. Mairy put her shelter near this fence. I was not too tired because I had been sleeping much of the time we were on the road. So I decided to investigate this strange place with the sleeping people. Were they under some sort of spell? Did they know they were sleeping on the ground? Why the flimsy little fence? I walk up to the fence thinking I will slip through with ease and the hair on my back stands on end. I creep closer and I feel a strange eire tingling all through my body. I decide maybe crawling over the fence is a bad idea, instead I should pick the lock on the front gate. I go to the gate and reach out to examine the lock when all of the hair on my arm stands on end like the air around it is charged. I jump back and toss a rock at the fence. and the rock disintegrates into nothing as it passes the threshold of the gate. This startles me and I decide that the risk is not worth it, so I head back to the house and go to sleep.

The party continues tracking the elven woman who stole from us. On the road just outside a small town we run into a gnome. The gnome asked us where we were heading Then he asked if he could join us because there was safety in numbers. We didn't see any harm in this so the gmone joined us on the road heading east. We came to another fork in the road, one headed northeast the other, south. I sniffed at the ground and couldn't pick up the sent of the horse of the elven woman. So I decided to head north because that's where our gnomish companion was heading. After a few hours on the road I noticed in the distance a large bush in the middle of a grassy field. I thought ths was kinda odd so I grabbed my bag and ran into the grass trying to flank the bush. I get to the bush at about the same time the party dose and before I can scout out the aria a human jumps out of the bush mumbles a few quick words and Brondor falls over, and starts snoring loudly. My pet pulls out his ax and charges the human but misses, then a elf attacks the gnome with some sort of magic, this goes on for some time, I manage to take down one of our attackers but then our new gnomish companion fell dead. After the gnome died our attackers fled. I chased them for a wile trying to attack them with my cross bow but they got away. we looted the dead attacker and picked up the body of our dead gnomish friend. Then continued on the road, (where I rifled through the gnomes stuff) after a wile we came up to a huge cliff with a lift on it. I hesitated going on the lift but there didn't seem to be any other alternative for miles, so we pulled the cart into this gigantic lift and rode it to the top. At the top of the lift we are charged 10g for the ride. which my pet thinks is over priced and attempts to talk down the man taking the toll. When he asked the man how he came to the price of 10g the man pointed to an old man mumbling under his breath. "how can you understand a thing he says?!" said my pet. "oh well he dose that but if you ask him a question he talks more clearly" said the toll man. "what do you mean?" asked my pet. The toll man turns towards the old man and asks "how much is there fare?" "mublpsh booulgh gree, ten gold, bungl shooo meh" Mumbles the old man. My pet hands the toll man his fare, and at the same time Brondor gets an idea. "we are pursuing an elven woman who stole from us can you tell me where she is?" Brondar asked the old man. "The woman you seek has no home, but currently she is seeking a Gnome, She will not find him, You have him!" the old man said then he continued mumbling under his breath. "Why thank you!" said Brondor. then we continued towards the city.

-12- The party rose the next morning and headed south along the road. Before long, they came to a pair of marker posts indicating the border between Seashire and Gnomeshore. Nearby, Mary noticed a sign that said, "Beware of flying gnomes." About a mile beyond that, the party came to a tower, where they were questioned by a pair of gnomes with large bat-like wings, who flew down from the top of the stone tower. The party told the guards they were hunting an elf woman, and the guards said that the elf woman had passed by the day before. Then they let the party pass. Crossing over another border into Savrannirse, the party came to the town of Corner. As they approached the town, a ghost in seafaring garb beckoned to them. He told them his name, and Brondr found his will in the silver box, along with a large poster containing a letter, which he wanted the party to post on the bulletin board in town. Spot asked Brondr and the barbarian to create a distraction so she could post the letter unobserved, but the barbarian wasn't listening. He was looking for a tavern, having been suddenly struck with an urge to drink, perhaps out of admiration for Brondr. Seeing no tavern, he grabbed the nearest peasant and tried to intimidate the man into telling him where the tavern was. Instead, the man tried to hit the barbarian with his pitchfork. The barbarian grabbed the fork and threw it away. The man drew a knife and slashed at the barbarian, who dropped him. The peasant cried some words that were unfamiliar to the barbarian, and several townsfolk came running. The barbarian was quickly subdued and knocked prone. Brondr took pity on the man and paid for his release. Meanwhile, Spot had managed to get the letter posted, and several townsfolk had noticed it and read it. The mayor's wife was livid, but the ghost was satisfied and faded away. Several hours later, the party came into the city of Elbow, at the bend in the road that goes around the great old forest of Savrannirse and Seashire. The barbarian decided to buy the party a round of drinks, and when the bartender let slip that he had some dwarven whiskey, things got interesting. Brondr decided to have a flask of that, and Spot asked for the same, having decided not to drink anything, and to give the flask to Brondr. Then, the barbarian decided to emulate the dwarf, but asked for two flasks. The bartender took his money and gave out the four flasks. The barbarian opened one of the flasks and downed it as fast as he could. Almost immediately, he fell on the floor and didn't get up. The party got him out to the cart and hung his head over the side. Sampling the gossip in the tavern, they learned that the elf woman left town about three hours ahead of them. Brondr decided to bet Spot he could stay on the mule, and the party took off north. But before they got out of town, Brondr spied another ghost motioning to him. He dismounted the mule and walked toward the ghost. Mary stopped the cart, and the barbarian puked on Brondr's feet. Learning that the ghost's will can be carried out only four houses down, the party quickly delivered the letter to a grateful tenant of the ghost, Kitty Carrell, canceling her debt on the house. So, the party turned north and reached Sundown Village, where they learned that the elf woman had been seen leaving town only an hour ahead of them. So, the party headed north in hopes of finally catching up with her. They reached a side road leading to Longspit, where a ghost urged them to head north, but Spot sniffed the road and found the elf woman's horse had kept to the main road, heading east. So, the party decided to go east, as well, continuing on until two hours after midnight, when they reached the place where the road ran into another road, just inside the forest of Eyllisenddare, an elven land. Spot sniffed the road and reported that the trail was growing colder, as the elf woman was riding a faster horse, but that her tracks led north again, so Mary put up her cabin, and the party rested beside a little fenced field where travelers slept.

-13- Rising in the morning, the party learned that the little house next to the fenced area was where the owner lived, and that he charged travelers for protection against beasts and thieves, letting them sleep in his warded field. The party got back in the cart and headed north. In Sleepy Hollow, the party was approached by a gnome who hinted that the it was safer on the road with more people. The party agreed, and they headed for Cliffside. A ghostly crewman pointed the toward Ferryville, but they continued toward Cliffside. About halfway there, three cultists jumped out of a cluster of bushes and killed the gnome, fleeing when he was dead. The party killed one of them before the other two escaped. They carried the gnome's body to a temple in Cliffside, where they had it prepared for burial and learned from a man named Selwynn that the attackers were cultists who worship the moon. He gave them a note to give to the head cleric at the temple.

-14- The party was given the task of finding several missing paladins. One of them, Hierakul, was rumored to be in Waste's Edge, and happened to be the customer Selwynn wanted them to deliver a package to. The party traveled to Waste's Edge, way at the south-eastern corner of Agravaine. Along the way, they found some journal pages that mentioned an item called "the Tears". When they reached Waste's Edge, they learned that Hierakul was serving in a huge stable. They had to travel into the desert and retrieve an item for the stable owner. Spot got caught stealing from a vendor there. The party hired out all the horses so Hierakul could clean the stable, and paid riders to ride the horses to Allard and back. Once the task was done, they delivered the merchandise to Hierakul and left town. -15- The party arrived in Stark and learned that General Philip, the leader of Surmedshire, where Stark is, had been oppressing his people and letting bandits run unchecked in his domain. A caravan assembled and asked the party to escort them north.
------- -16- =1= Emily, Kegain, Marcus, and Gregory were all seated in the dining room of their friend, Iliana. He had invited each of them to dine with him tonight and to form a group that will attempt to help Mary Mata.
The meal, which was very tasty and well presented, ended, and they sat enjoying the performance of the minstrels Iliana hired for the evening. When they take a break, Iliana got up and said,
Mary stood up and said,
The party agreed to help her. Spot showed up later that night, offering no explanation for her absence or her return. She didn't know where any of the other party members had gone, including her friend who was carrying things for her. The next morning, the party checked the notice board and decided to check out a request for help in the town of Liddock. The leader of the town explained that wolves had begun digging in the trash of the town and that he suspected they had gained a new competitor for their hunting. Emily asked for the pelts of the wolves they had to kill, thinking back to another notice she'd seen on the board. The party killed 20 wolves and also dispatched a hell hound, which the Magister of Liddock reckoned was the new competitor. The party members each received 10 gold, and everyone except Spot received 5# of cured wolf meat. The Magister also asked the party to bring him a jar of juice from the century flower of Launcelot. The party did not show much enthusiasm for this task.

8/12/11 Current events so far from the perspective of Kagain.
After a meal with the party's mutual friend and an unnecessarily long sob story from Marimatta, we agreed to take her along and let her all see the exotic places a typical group of adventurers would see but not care about in exchange for her ring of log cabins and a female type person to set up camp/cook meals/laundry/women's work. After reviewing the town's forum for possible jobs, one seem to match most of the party's strong skills. Why apply for a job that requires strong investigative skills when nobody has any investigative skills?
The job was in Liddik from 1 powerful wizard Mcgeester. He was basically the ruler of the town and promised us paltry yet fair wage given the menial task to rid the town of the surplus supply of wolves. In a series of anti-climatic battles, we finished said task. Among the mass stockpiles of dead doggies there was a shiny orange 1 that breathed fire (hellhound.) Upon proving ourselves reliable Mcgeester had given us a slightly more important task. He wanted the nectar from a Century Flower found more common in the province of Losalow. His reward, while cleverly worded, was along the lines of half his wealth. Being the ruler of this town and having influence on many people of importance, were among some of the wealth he possessed.

(Suppose I might as well, though I don`t intend on doing this regularly. I`m just in the mood to write a story.)
8/12/11 The journal of Gregory: I had gone to a meeting with some people. A cat sitting at the table seemed alittle strange, It got me cought up thinking about polymorph spells. I barely cought what Mari was saying, the possible beneficial effects of baleful polymorph were dancing through my mind. I noted it in my spellbook.
I was surprised when Mari asked us all as a whole to find her a suitor. It seems more like an individual`s task, or perhapse an enchanter`s task.. Hmm, I haven`t toyed with enchantment spells in weeks... Fortunately Mari gave us the alternative task of allowing her to acompany us.
So here we are, me, a cat I`m getting a feeling of sentience from, and some less interesting folk. They started walking off toward some board or something, so I just followed behind contemplating the use of soften earth and wondering of it`s effect on structures. They said something about going to meet someone powerfull, so I agreed, quoting an old story my master told me "Off to see the wizard."
It was a pretty long walk, but I was pretty occupied with my spellbook.
We finally got to this tower after some guy told us something. I did get a strange feeling about the area, But I more or less dismissed it. We went inside the building looking for a meister of some sort, the exact name or title eludes me at the moment. We found him, just in time for his monologue. As he spoke I wondered why people speek, It would be much easier if people simply used detect thoughts.
We stopped for a bit, and the party was talking quite a bit more then usual. They were discussing weather or not to go into the woods or wait for the wolves to come to town. I looked around at the buildings and recalled my contemplation of the effect of soften earth on structures and immediately said 'Woods'
We wandered off into the woods and ran into some wolves. I cought two of them in some grease and decided to test out the soften earth and it`s effect on a structure. Unfortunately the only sturcture around was the trees, and the roots were interfereing with my practice. I felt kind of bad crushing the wolves beneath the tree, it felt wrong, even with them trying to kill us.
Well after a while I had a bad feeling, but feelings generally lack fact, so I ignored it and continued following the cat. For a second I heard a snarl and the slicing of a sword. By the time I looked up from my book I saw a large wolf laying on the ground infront of the man with the greatsword. Bravo.
More wolves came and we killed them, by that I mean they killed them and I poked them telling them to leave. We returned to a place, and they talked, and here I am writing away... Wasting ink... Hmm, I need to do some research, Perhapse there`s a spell that conjures ink, or better yet writes what I`m thinking.

We killed the wolves and preceded toward our next task. We encountered an elf who tells his SOB story and persisted in doing so even after fruitless attempts to cut the conversation short with polite means. 1 thing of worth the elf did say was that he was a ring smith by trade and was setting up shop. This is a possible retail store front for all the dwarves and their precious metals and gems. He also told us of the legendary, Axe Murderer! After a brief stop to cash in a payment to Kagain's clan, the party off and started to look for the fabled Axe Murderer. Interestingly enough, we found a random passerby that was carrying an axe. Completely oblivious, Kagain engaged in friendly small talk and shared the warning there was an Axe Murderer on the loose. This guy was obviously a paladin and went loco at the mention of someone murdering axes. We were in his way between him and the Axe Murderer so the first thing smited was us. At some point, the ring that magically compelled this paladin to carry out his good deeds of ridding the lands of prostitutes and wealthy ring smiths fell off and the paladin turned into a not psycho murdering axe murderer. His story was that this ring, which he got from the swamp from a wizard, caused him to do such acts and left his fate into our hands. Kagain's lawful nature figured that letting him atone for all the deeds he did to all the people he did them to would be better suited than killing him on the spot. We now travel waiting for a smite+sneak attack.

-17- =2= The party journeyed south toward Pinedale, because Kagain wanted to take some money home to Theradin. As the party reached the crossroads south of Liddock, they met an elvish ringsmith's apprentice, who told the party about the sequence of events that had led up to his master's death. The party brushed him off and continued south, suggesting the elf settle in a town and buy metals from Kagain. The city of Pinedale was in an uproar when the party arrived. A mage had just been killed with a shocking axe. After asking a few questions, the party continued toward Theradin. Kagain paid some money toward his family's debt and heard about some temple robberies. Then the party headed back toward Pinedale. On the way, they met a man carrying two heavy sacks and an axe. They tried to engage him in conversation, but when one of them warned him about an axe murderer on the loose, he attacked the party. They dismounted and fought back. He took a lot of damage before he surrendered, and then he was reluctant to answer questions. The party demanded his sacks and his bracelet in exchange for his life, and he finally handed them over. As soon as the bracelet was off his arm, the man underwent a dramatic change in personality. He expressed surprise and regret for having attacked the party and for the other crimes the party reminded him of. He asked the party to destroy him, but they would not. So, he asked the party to escort him to his temple in Millfaire so he could make an atonement for his evil deeds. That night, when they reached the signpost for the entrance to the swamp, Spot found a cave nearby with sacks and axes inside, as well as one of the party's former members. The party investigated and found a fighter's corpse, along with several bags of platinum pieces and a pair of shocking axes. They also found three journal pages, which reminded Alred, the man they'd met on the road, of how he'd come to be wearing the bracelet. He explained that he'd gone into the swamp to use Selena's Tears to recover an ancient artifact that was rumored to have great power over the undead. Before he reached his destination, however, he was overcome by a wizard of the Selenite cultists, who put the bracelet on his arm.
