Welcome to the world of Lysaria. It is a culturally and environmentally diverse world. Build characters at first level to start off. The starting town is a desert City. The city has an approximate 4-5,000 people in it. It is the wonder of the wastes but rumor has it there is an ancient city somewhere out there with the key to saving your struggling home from collapse.

A ranger named Lytharas Treaty and a sorceror named Krouzu set out from their crumbling homes in the failing desert town they had known as home their whole lives. The towns water reserves are running dangerously lower and the wells have gone dry. Water is having to be imported from neighboring towns. Lytharas and Krouzu are on a coming of age quest from the council of elders that rule this struggling Town. They must travel tot he pyramid southwest of the town to find an ancient map that may be key to saving the town as it leads to the Metropolis the town originally came from. The way back has long been forgotten by the people of the town and centuries have passed. Naturally the founder of the town is dead and the map was buried with him at the top of the pyramid. Many young adventurers have been sent to what can only be assumed as their death as they have not returned. After buying supplies Krouzu and Lytharas left for the pyramid and on the way encountered some oddly tiny scorpions. These scorpions weren't just tiny they were really small probly about the size of a newborn kitten. Krouzu attempted to beat them with his flaming staff. Seeing his companion fail so miserably the Lytharas took pity on him and squished the scorpions. Three days later they managed to arrive at the pyramid. Lytharas scanned the side of the pyramid closet to them to discover there was an entrance straight ahead of him. He examined the door checking for traps, and after finding none, krouzu cast light on an arrow and shot it into the pyramid. They head it thud into the wall at the end of the hall, then Ltharas and Krouzu ventured into the pyramid. They noticed a magical shimmer after entering. While turning around they hear an enormous thud. Of course the door had shut behind them sealing them inside. Moving toward the lighted arrow they noticed that there was a room to their left and one on their right as well but, they continued forward. When the arrived at the arrow they discovered the path turned left, and Lytharas edge around the corner making sure it was safe then they continued. Finding a staircase they ventured up one floor. Looking back where the saircase had been they found a floor that appeared to be solid. However when Lytharas poked it with an arrow he discovered it was an illusion. Krouzu thought about throwing his familair through the floor to test is but lytharas tested with the arrow and he decided it would be redundant. Inside this room they found a human sized sarcophogus. Lytharus used his skills in dungeoneering to find this was the son of the founder of the town. He then noticed a peculiar door way inside the room. It appeared to be made of water but was contained in the frame. Lytharus stuck and arrow into the door way and pulled it back out. The arrow was intact. Krouzu stuck his head through the portal to find the other side was not filled with water but, they had in fact found a portal. In this room they found some stairs that led down 5 floors. In this room was passage beyond and 2 mummies. Krouzu's foot accidently hit a rock which skittered across the floor. The mummies then turned on the party angrily moving to attack them. Lytharas killed both mummies after Krouzu made an amazing fort save to not contract mummy rot from being attack by one of the mummies.
